We’re moving into the new membership space in Atlanta, and we’re having to peel vinyl stickers from the walls and paint and clean the carpets and take care of getting internet and power and gas and water and running into scheduling challenges and technical issues that nobody could foresee. When you move forward, you think things will be one day in the timeline, two tops, and somehow the timeline stretches away, and -- even though you can see the approaching goalposts and all the progress being made -- it is still the battle of the day-to-day that can feel a bit overwhelming. You go home tired and sweaty at the end of a long day of doing the necessary work, and even though you’re sore in new and surprising places, it feels good. In our lives and careers, making headway feels good, because every day the sculpture we are creating is a little more refined, a little more exquisite, a little more real.
