3 keys to unlocking 'YOU' time (hint...it's not being a couch potato)

Over 50 people joined me for aws' 'just rest' cohort last month where we intentionally 'did nothing' together for 1 hr/day, 5 days in a row.

It felt wonderful and fueled my artistry by not only inviting joy into the process (rather than pressure) but surprisingly, my productivity skyrocketed too.

But, I'm finding taking that hour to 'do nothing' it is not quite as sustainable as I hoped it would be. My typical days as a CEO & film/tv casting director often feel as if they are not my own.

So, I've researched and discovered 3 keys that help sustain those 'just rest' cohort results I wish to keep.

3 keys that unlock & sustain YOU time

1. mindset

Believe that you are actually in control of your own time. No one else owns your time 24/7. Know in your bones that life is on your own time.

2. planning

Block schedule according to your daily rhythms. Calendaring your time for both your craft and rest in cadence with your circadian rhythms is vital.

3. de-loading

Maintain your schedule but do less of it for a week. Rather than being a couch potato, do less of what you typically take on and enjoy the simplicity of the task at hand.

Life is a grand experiment, might as well enjoy it.
