2 simple words I've seen affect artistic collaboration like no other

As CEO of a casting & production company, I have witnessed time & time again, the impact of words on creative collaboration.

These words immediately impact group culture and productivity. Ultimately, they affect our individual and collective artistic success.

'should' - the WORST word

It permeates regret, obligation, and not-enoughness.

'Should' is a 4-letter word at arvold., so much so that when someone accidentally uses it, there is an audible gasp followed by an immediate re-phrase.

'i'm sorry' - the BEST words

A powerful, brave, and vulnerable statement.

The emotional health that the words 'i'm sorry' bring is abundant......especially when knowing how to apologize effectively (podcast: Unlocking Us w/Harriet Lerner & Brene Brown).
